Artist Statement

My inspiration as a Fiber Artist comes from my passion for self expression through Hand Weaving.

Using the element of Nature I see my designs as a unique blend of style, elegance, color, and texture. I use a broad  spectrum of natural fibers separately and in combination: silk, wool, cotton, linen, and bamboo. I take joy in weaving the perfect piece for my clientele. The Joy of Weaving comes from what happens on the loom with the endless number of weave structures available.

My designs are woven in my studio on one of three looms, a Schacht 4 or 8 shaft loom, or a Macomber 12 shaft loom. Loom choice is dependent on fiber, weave structure, purpose and size of the project.

Design Projects may be fashions, a framed piece of art, or a wall hanging. They are all One-of-A-Kind.
