Artist Bio

Sarah has had a love of fiber and fabric for over 54 years, starting at age 6.  She began Hand Weaving in 1982 while attending a workshop at  The Rome Art and Community Center in Rome, New York.

Hand Weaving became  her  passion.  Over the years she pursued her craft attending numerous workshops through adult education programs. In 2006 she discovered the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina.  The unique philosophy of the school has enabled Sarah to expand her Hand Weaving skills and knowledge.

Sarah’s dream to open her own  Hand  Weaving business came true in 2007 when she opened Sarah's Design - a Custom Weaving Business in her home. She creates and sells One-of-A-Kind designs.

Studio classes are available for the beginning and intermediate hand weaver.  

Sarah is a member of the Hand Weavers Guild of America Inc.
